Day-by-Day Itinerary

8:30 AM (morning slot) or 1:30 PM (afternoon slot): Hotel pickup and drive through the rolling Maasai plains to a traditional boma (approx. 45 min). Start with a welcoming ceremony of song and the iconic adamu jumping dance performed by warriors in red shukas. Tour the enkaji - mud and cow-dung huts built by Maasai women - and learn how the homestead is organized around the cattle enclosure. Meet the elders for stories of Maasai history, herbal medicine and rites of passage. Try fire-making from sticks with the warriors (harder than it looks!). Sit with the women for a beadwork workshop, stringing your own bracelet. Finish at the community craft market where your purchases directly support the village school. Return to Arusha after approximately 3.5 hours.
