Day-by-Day Itinerary

7:00 AM: Hotel pickup in Arusha and drive west to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 2.5 hours), past Mto wa Mbu - a cultural melting pot of 120+ Tanzanian tribes. 9:30 AM: Arrive at the park gate. Begin a morning game drive into the lush groundwater forest - troops of baboons, blue monkeys and bushbuck. Continue out onto the open floodplains where elephant families bathe and the famous tree-climbing lions lounge in acacia branches. 12:30 PM: Picnic lunch at a lake overlook. 1:30 PM: Afternoon game drive along the lake shore - flamingos, pelicans and yellow-billed storks. 4:00 PM: Exit the park and begin the drive back to Arusha. 6:30 PM: Drop-off at your hotel.
